The silver-plated brass mounts elaborately decorated with extensive chasing, the hinged lid surmounted by a stallion and the owners initials that most probably reads AMG. With remains of original silver-plated finish. Circa 1915.

Possibly an honourable and loyal War horse, of which the owner held much affection and admiration, its history most probably will never come to light, but one thing is for certain, this horse meant a hell of lot to someone. It is certainly the finest example that we have ever had through our hands.
