Alfred Stellmacher founded his factory in 1859 and became famous for producing high-quality porcelain. His innovative work laid the artistic foundation for the renowned Amphora Porcelain Works, which was established in the early 1890s by his sons and sons-in-law.
This lamp is complete with its original Hinks & Son’s Patent burner. A manufacturer based in Birmingham, England, which is best known for inventing and patenting the “Duplex” burner, which utilized two flat wicks side-by-side to produce a much brighter and steadier flame than standard single-wick lamps.
