Notes: Carlton House was the primary London residence of George, Prince of Wales later King George IV from 1783 to 1826 The house being demolished in 1826.
John Strongitharm (1759-1835) was apprenticed to the engraver and cartographer John Bayly in 1772, but later set up on his own account as a printmaker, engraver in copperplate and seal engraver. He traded at various London addresses including 13 Pall Mall, he was listed as Seal Engraver to H.R.H. The Princes of Wales.

The Seal depicts five arrows tied with a ribbon. Representing strength through unity. The five arrows became an enduring symbol of the Rothschild name.
Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744–1812) established the foundation of a global banking empire by strategically placing his five sons in the major financial capitals of Europe. This network became known as the “Five Arrows”.

A later added hand written name “Hutchinson” can be found around the was seal. This refers to Barbara Judith Hutchinson who married (1933) Nathaniel Mayer Victor Rothschild, 3rd Baron Rothschild (1910 – 1990), a British scientist, intelligence officer during World War II, senior executive with Royal Dutch Shell and N M Rothschild & Sons and later advisor to the Edward Heath and Margaret Thatcher governments of the UK.
