Retaining its original grain painted exterior finish and green painted interior, along with a beautifully painted inscription to the inner rim
“Anne Johns daller? Vold? 1763 Errindring uf mine forfaedro”
roughly translating to
“Anne Johns ……? Gifted 1763 in memory of my ancestor”
The letters PiS carved to the base.
In remarkable condition, the bowl nicely warped with time, with no repairs or restoration.
Provenance. Direct from a local house the bowl having being given to our vendor by the grandfather.
