Four individual Nudes in mythology inspired settings, one signed lower right with an additional and only partially legible pencil inscription to rear “Nature …..….. and dated 1909 – 1910”. All painted on Smiths artist boards. The pictures having been carefully stored away from any light by a connoisseur, and now framed for the first time.

Little is known about the artist, however he exhibited six paintings at the Royal Academy between 1896 and 1900, including The Garden of Sleep and Phyllis. For a similar single painting by this artist The spirit of the marsh see Christies sale held 09 11 2011

Three pictures are framed in portrait and measure 58.5 cm high x 43.5 cm wide, each (including the frames) and one picture is framed landscape 43.5 cm high x 58.5cm wide.
